Thank You For Smoking - 2006

Nick Naylor (Aaron Eckhart) is the spokesman of the Tobacco Industry. He is the guy that everyone hates. Words like immoral, unhesitating and modern Mephistopheles accompany his name. Although he is clever, witty and he can convince you that smoking is not bad for your health. Together with his friends, the spokesmen of alchohol and firearms, The Merchants of Death as they called, Nick will assert that he is selling a freedom of choice and not cigarettes.

Director Jason Reitman comment on such a heavy subject with smart humor and satire. Robert Duvall is the Captain of the smoking industry while Rob Lowe is a workaholic agent from Hollywood and Katie Holmes is a "I'll do everything for a story" reporter. Crazy characters, that "defend" or "attack" smoking industry... just to pay the mortgage.

In the end I realy enjoyed the film.
